The day
How a Rosewood wedding runs.
Every wedding here is different. This is how a typical day runs.
- 7:00am
Getting ready
If you've booked Rosewood Homestead, it's yours from 7:00am: five bedrooms, verandahs on three sides, set apart in the trees.
- 8:00am
Set-up
Site access opens. Your coordinator, caterer, florist and stylists arrive and set up while the estate is still quiet.
- 1:00pm
Guests arrive
Venue hire starts. The ceremony is wherever you've chosen, at the time you've set.
- After the ceremony
Cocktails and canapés
Guests move to the front of the marquee, on the deck and gravel, for drinks and canapés until the reception.
- Afternoon
Portraits
Photos around the estate: the ridge, the driveway, the paddocks in late light, and the fairy-light tree once it's dark.
- Evening
Reception
Dinner and dancing in the marquee, with the firepit going on the lawn outside.
- 11:00pm
Music off
It's the same curfew every night of the week.
- 11:30pm
Last departures
Everyone is off site. A pre-booked bus makes this much easier.
Ceremony
Choose the valley, the coast or the garden. Each faces a different way, so the light and the backdrop change with the location you pick. See all three on The Venue.
Cocktails and canapés
Between the ceremony and the reception, guests gather at the front of the marquee, on the deck and the gravel area, for drinks and canapés while you're off having photos.
Cocktail furniture is available to hire if it isn't part of your package: dry bars, wine barrels, stools and high tables. The Intimate Wedding includes two high tables and four wine barrels with 24 stools.
Or bring in your own bar supplier with their own setup, whether that's a dry bar, a caravan bar or a kombi keg. Our recommended suppliers include bars that know the estate.
Reception
Dinner and dancing are in the marquee. Outside there's the lawn and the firepit, and we supply one night's firewood.

Who does what
Your coordinator
A wedding-day coordinator is required for every event. You arrange them, and they run the day itself: suppliers, timings, the run sheet.
Your caterer
Any licensed caterer you like, from a long-table feast to a food truck. Our recommended suppliers know the estate.
Your drinks
BYO, no corkage, served by RSA-certified staff from a dry bar outside, inside the marquee, or both. How BYO works.

If it rains
The ceremony moves beneath the main marquee or, if needed, a separate marquee on the lawn or gravel area in front of it. The call can be made on the morning, and the marquee's glass sides stay on year round.
We're also planning a permanent covered pavilion at the front of the estate, built for ceremonies and cocktail hour whatever the weather. We'll share more as plans progress.
Capacity
Up to 200 guests, cocktail or seated. Above 150, we extend the marquee to 10 by 30 metres.
The estate's luxury twin bathrooms cover up to 120 guests; for larger weddings (121–200 guests) you'll need to hire additional portable bathrooms.
Pets
Welcome on the day, and overnight in either Rosewood Homestead or Rosewood House.
