A couple in the paddock at golden hour

Frequently asked questions

What's included in venue hire?

The whole estate from 1:00pm to 11:00pm (site access from 8:00am), your choice of ceremony location, the marquee with lighting, luxury twin bathrooms, a large cold room, a firepit with firewood, chairs and tables for up to 150 guests, planning support and a coordinator liaison in the lead-up. Full list on the Packages & Pricing page.

Is there a minimum guest count?

No. Up to 200 guests, cocktail or seated, any day of the week. The estate's luxury twin bathrooms cover up to 120 guests; for larger weddings (121–200 guests) you'll need to hire additional portable bathrooms.

Can we bring our own caterer?

Yes, any licensed caterer you like. Our recommended suppliers list has caterers who know the estate.

Can we bring our own alcohol?

Yes, BYO with no corkage. Alcohol must be served by RSA-certified staff. Most couples order through Dan Murphy's, who deliver straight into our cold room. BYO drinks guide →

What happens if it rains?

The ceremony moves under the main marquee, or we put up a separate marquee on the lawn or gravel area in front of it. We're also planning a dedicated undercover pavilion for ceremonies and canapés, and we'll keep booked couples up to date as it takes shape.

What's the curfew?

Music off at 11:00pm and guests off site by 11:30pm, every night of the week.

Can we stay on site?

Rosewood Homestead is available with Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday weddings, and Wednesday to Friday weddings if still available three months out. Rosewood House, a separate guesthouse two minutes down the road, is available any day of the week.

Is there parking?

Yes, designated parking for 60 cars, with helicopter landing sites also available.

How do we get to Rosewood?

20 minutes from Nerang, 50 from Gold Coast Airport, 70 from Brisbane. Given the rural location, we'd recommend arranging transport for guests in advance.

Are pets allowed?

Yes, on the day, and overnight in either Rosewood Homestead or Rosewood House.

Can we book a tour?

Rosewood is a private property, and viewings are by appointment only. If you can't get here in person, we can do a FaceTime tour.

Do we need a wedding-day coordinator?

Yes. Every wedding needs one, and you arrange them yourselves. A coordinator isn't part of venue hire.
